Yep from "I do" to pink plus sign was 11 months, with graduation and a #chainsaw injury thrown in the middle.
I (Anna) have been a nanny for years which has taught me you are never "ready" to have kids. Also it is important to me that our kids get to know their grandparents. Not just vague childhood memories but a chance at real friendships that reach into adulthood. Which means sooner is better.
With Dan finishing grad school early and both of us have some doubts in our bodies ability to create a baby with out help we decided there is no time like the present to start trying.
Surprisingly to me it was my married peers who were the most shocked we were expecting so soon. Their main reaction was assuming the baby was a surprise, and disbelief that we would want a baby so soon. But we did, not because we were bored of each other or because we had run out of wedding gift cards or because we aren't aloud to have pets in our apartment, but because we wanted to keep loving, we wanted to grow something more with our love. #prego #baby #babybump
